Fourth of July Festivities - Hacienda Heights
Every year, Hacienda Heights prepares for their annual "I Love America" July 4th parade. The July 4th festivities start with the Jim Davis Beautification Day on June 29th and of course culminate with the parade on July 4th.

Jim Davis Beautification Day - Hacienda Heights
The Saturday before July 4th is designated as "Jim Davis Beautification Day".
This year, that will be June 29, 2019.
The community is invited to join in cleaning Stimson Ave in preparation for the July 4th parade.

July 4th Parade - Hacienda Heights
The Hacienda Heights 4th of July Parade takes place on July 4th at 9:00 am
in Hacienda Heights on Stimson Avenue starting at Colima Road and ending at Steinmetz Park.
The Parade consists of bands, floats, equestrian, drill teams, VIP’s, local school and church groups.
Information
Scout units are encouraged to attend!
Participants are asked to meet at Grazide Elementary School by 7:00am. Participants should plan to walk to the school, after parking elsewhere (Steinmetz Park is good option) - the area near the school will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Parade organizers will be on hand to direct participants to the staging area to prepare for the start of the parade.
Monthly Roundtable
Roundtable for the combined El Camino Real District will be held this week. Leaders for all Packs, Troops,
and Crews are strongly encouraged to attend.

District Gold Journey to Excellence - 2018
We are proud to announce that the Golden Eagle District achieved Gold status as a district in the Journey to Excellence program.
Such an accomplishment is not possbile without the support of so many dedicated volunteers that are committed to delivering a quality Scouting experience to the youth of the Golden Eagle District.

"Friends of Scouting" is an annual direct-solicitation campaign, reaching out to Scout families, service organizations, and businesses. Friends of Scouting is the council's largest source of income.
It costs our council $250 to provide one year of quality program for each Scout.
What does a Friends of Scouting investment provide?
- Recruit and train youth and leaders
- Provide assistance to those in need
- Keep our camps and activities affordable
- Enhance programming and facilities
- Provide communication tools for volunteer leaders
